Judy and Dick Byce had gotten tired of the cold winters in Seattle and decided a major change of life was needed.  They had been to Kauai many times and decided many others would love the 'Garden Island' of Kauai as much as they did, so they packed their bags, moved to Kauai and founded 'Paradise Kauai'. 

They chose the sunny South side of the island because the weather is the best, and it has one of the best beaches in the world - Poipu Beach.  This side of the island also gets half the rainfall the the Northshore receives (drier vacations are more fun).

They bought a condo at the Kiahuna Plantation, a beautiful beachfront resort at Poipu Beach.  A second condo was purchased to provide a vacation home for guests wanting to visit Kauai.  Their company 'Paradise Kauai' was created to publicize and rent their second condo.  "Living full time at Kihuna Plantation has been a wonderful experience.  We love walking through the beautifully landscaped grounds and the beach is one of the best on the island."
